Ingredients:

Skin from 1 Pineapple

1 Lemon

2 Cinnamon Sticks

1 inch ginger, whole or minced

How to:

After you’ve enjoyed your fresh pineapple, reserve the skin!

  1. In a large stock pot combine pineapple skin (also called bark), cinnamon sticks, bulb of ginger and 1 lemon sliced in half.

  2. Fill the pot with enough water to cover all the ingredients and really as much as you can fit.

  3. Bring tea to a boil and allow pot to boil for ~5 minutes. T

  4. Reduce heat to a simmer, simmering for 15 minutes.

  5. Allow tea to cool in the pot until you are able to move and strain ingredients comfortably. There is no rush here. It can sit for a couple hours if you have the time.

  6. Strain tea into cute jars for individual serving enjoyment (or for sharing with your friends).

Store your tea in the fridge until ready to be enjoyed.

You can enjoy this tea hot or cold. (I prefer chilled)
